Can-Am initially began as a race series featuring group 7 sports racers, hosting two events in Canada (Can) and four in the United States of America (Am). BRP / Bombardier Recreational Products, a Canadian company that was once a part of Bombardier Inc, manufactures Can-Am all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and Side-by-Side (SxS, UTV, SSV) vehicles. It was founded in Valcourt, Quebec, Canada in 1942 as L’Auto-Neige Bombardier Limitée (Bombardier Snow Car Limited) by Joseph-Armand Bombardier.
